An initiative of AlphaZULU Advocates conceived during our celebration of the SDG 5th Anniversary in September 2020 and birthed in June 2021, the SDG Nugget Hour is jointly delivered with the Centre for Social Sensitivity and Action of Goa Institute for Management, India. The platform has been programmed to ensure the voices of civil society stakeholders engaging the SDGs continue to be projected to a global audience. It offers a monthly virtual space to inform and educate global public about the 2030 Agenda and SDGs, where SDG Advocates and Practitioners select 1 SDG and deliver succinct 1-minute speeches sharing their work, lived experiences and/or country context that engages the SDGs.

In 2 years, the SDG Nugget Hour has been consistent and built a community that has welcomed over 200 SDG Advocates and Practitioners from 62 countries. It has been viewed by thousands globally and birthed offshoot programmes - SDG Junior Nugget Hour and SDG Peer Review Hour, produced a book and leveraged community power for UN Decade Actions and multi-country projects.
